The Drawing Offices stand prominently at the front of the hotel, one housing the hotel’s bar and lounge, and the other which will be the hotel’s ballroom and heritage experience.
Other heritage spaces preserved include the board room, directors’ entrance and lobby and former directors’ offices including Thomas Andrews*, Lord Pirrie** and Charles Payne***. The £28m Harcourt operated hotel tells the story of Belfast’s shipbuilding and maritime history of the past 100 years. General views of the Titanic Hotel Belfast which has opened with fanfare in the city’s Titanic Quarter where the Harland & Wolff headquarters once stood. With 119 suites boasting views of Harland & Wolff cranes to the east and the Titanic Slipways to the west, Titanic Hotel Belfast is a unique heritage experience adding to Belfast’s booming tourist offering.
The Drawing Offices, where Titanic itself was designed, have been fully restored to their former glory thanks to a £5m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Enterprise Fund.
